Customer Service FAQs
Where do I find a product serial numbers?
Serial numbers are printed onto the Serial Rating Label and there is one fitted to every SKOPE manufactured cabinet, located Inside at the top of the cabinet. These will start with an A, B, RC, H, HA, SK, QA, 9 or 3. Serial numbers that start with the letter U or H-U are for the Refrigeration Unit (Motor) only. It is not used for any warranty purposes. Always refer to Cabinet Serial Number.
For Vitamix products the serial number is located on the back or on the bottom of your machine's motor base, under the bar code.
How do I find the right spare part for my product?
If you need a spare part for SKOPE, Irinox, ITV, or Vitamix products or any fridge or freezer, find the serial numbers printed onto the Serial Rating Label located Inside at the top of the cabinet and enter it into the spare parts portal on our website to search and order spare parts for your products or contact one of our national parts stockists with the product serial number.
Does SKOPE offer fleet management services?
SKOPE specialises in facilities and fleet management of your refrigeration and catering equipment, so you don’t have to. Our Asset Management system is designed specifically around the needs of the food and beverage industry. With complete visibility of all your sites and your assets, their locations, and their history, you have complete insights into every activity. Along with an easy and accurate overview of what is happening with your equipment at any time.
- Utilise our comprehensive desktop solution for complete control or arm your team with the SKOPE Services App, giving field staff the capability to view and manage the fleet from anywhere.
- Across NZ and Australia, our accredited technicians are on-call for servicing, and repairs as and when needed. Our connected system enables you to know when a fix is scheduled and when it is all finished.
- At our SKOPE workshops, we’ll take care of any technical repairs in a safe environment. We also undertake product assessments, cleaning and carrying out testing and tagging. We can also smarten up your assets by adding your branding needed and replacing damaged or weathered parts.
- With access to storage facilities right across NZ and Australia, we can store your new and used equipment and transport it to you when required. You can request moves via your SKOPE Services app or directly with our team and we’ll manage the whole process - including setting up in a store.
Does SKOPE sell heating products?

Who is eligible for Corporate Rental?
Corporate customers wanting to rent or grow their fleet or refrigeration and/or multi sites, chains, large production facilities or QSR franchise groups working directly with manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand.

What's the benefit of getting on-site planned maintenance?
On-site planned maintenance is a comprehensive 161-point check and service of the refrigeration. Regular maintenance is required to meet commercial warranty terms and conditions and avoid service-related fees caused by lack of maintenance. This service helps the refrigeration run more efficiently, lowering your customer's or site's power bills, and avoiding breakdowns. A service report, along with before and after photos is provided so you have site visibility over your fleet. We can provide this service nationwide as frequently as required.

What if I have an existing aged fleet of refrigeration I want to upgrade?
We can review your current fleet and recommend SKOPE models to suit, we will create a roll out plan to swap out refrigeration and mitigate any disruption to your customers or sites.
Why would I rent instead of purchase?
Rental payments are 100% tax deductible and not subjected to sometimes slower CAPEX approval processes. Benefit from speed to market and a high utilisation of the fleet in field as opposed to purchasing stock and having it depreciate in warehouse, incurring storage fees. Rental agreements are fixed so forecasting and budgeting is easy and you don't incur as much impact from price rises. Our corporate rental fleets enjoy a utilisation average of 96% in field, meaning their refrigeration is earning them revenue not sitting in a warehouse.
What is risky about keeping an aged, mixed fleet of refrigeration?
An aging fleet promotes your products poorly and can impact revenue. It incurs unforeseen service costs and delays which are difficult to forecast and budget for. There is often poor visibility, control and reporting on the assets. This can lead to costly issues such as missing assets, mismanaged customer accounts, futile delivery charges, and overpayments.
What is the minimum spend?
For set up we require a minimum of 10 rental assets to be placed in the first 12 months.
What happens at the end of the term?
Options:
- Roll over onto a discounted rate and new term. Typically, another 1 - 5 year terms are available
- Return
- Purchase
What are return or termination fees if we cancel the contract mid-term?
Remaining rental payments owing and applicable return fees (if unpaid) to warehouse. You do have the option to purchase the asset at the end of term and resell or you can choose to move the asset to another customer's location which we can help arrange for you.
Is my contract fixed for the term?
Yes, however we review pricing for new placements at every anniversary. Your existing rental placements in field will enjoy fixed pricing until the term is finished.
What happens if we change our mind or need to terminate the contract?
Prior to delivery you can change or terminate without cost incurred. Once refrigeration is delivered it is placed on contract and rental commences, return and termination fees would then apply.
How do I order?
If you need accessories or assistance on choosing the right refrigeration, please contact your dedicated SKOPE Relationship Manager who is assigned to you. It's important to tell us if you need accessories such as additional shelves, ticket strips, decal installation and gravity matting upon your first order. For subsequent orders email skopefunding@skope.com your purchase order stating model, description and quantity.
What do I pay upfront?
Rental payments are invoiced in advance, and the first payment will include freight and the clean, tag and test fee. Rental payments and then invoiced monthly.
How do I get a quote?
A dedicated SKOPE Funding Relationship Manager will meet with you to understand your needs and then create a proposal for you.
When do I pay?
Rental payments are invoiced at the end of each month, starting the month the equipment is delivered. The first payment will include any freight payable.
Why do you need me to verify my ID?
SKOPE has obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism Financing laws which require us to identify all customers.
How to apply?
An authorised signatory or director can complete a finance application. The rental agreement must be signed by the director and anti-money laundering ID verification completed. Once approved, you can start placing your order.

Where do you hold stock?
We have stock nationwide in both Australia and New Zealand.
If I change my mind can I cancel my order?
You can cancel at any time but associated costs at the time of cancellation may apply.
How long is the lead time?
Once you have completed your application form and signed your agreement and delivery form. We require 2 days for run, tag and test to be completed. Your cabinets can then be delivered. Metro areas can be within 24 hours, longer for regional areas.
Can you hold cabinets for me until I need them?
Yes, once you complete your application we can hold cabinets for you.
Do I need insurance?
Yes, you will need insurance on the cabinets when on-site. We will cover insurance in transit as part of our premium delivery service.
Can I move the refrigeration?
Yes you can move the refrigeration however please confirm the pick up address with us.
Can I put decals on the refrigeration?
Yes you can apply your own artwork decals to the refrigeration or for a fee we can install these for you at the warehouse. Please note, if you need these removed or if we need to deep clean residual from decals there will be additional fees.
What if something happens outside of business hours?
You can still log the service job as above. If the refrigeration is not usable we will offer you a refund for time out of action. However, our fleet is as new and has been checked prior to dispatch so you shouldn't experience service issues.
What is the process?
- Get a quote and check stock availability for your dates
- Apply online in 10 minutes with a copy of your I.D and a utility bill showing your home address on it for ID verification
- Complete a delivery form
- We will book a run, tag, and test of your refrigeration
- Once this is complete we will book your delivery and advise you of your delivery ETA
What delivery service do I get?
We offer premium delivery service which includes a run, tag and test of the refrigeration prior to dispatch. It also includes delivery onto site and positioning, as well as removal of packaging.
Can I rent anything else that SKOPE sell?
We only rent short term, what we have available in our short term rental fleet.
However, we do have longer funding terms available (1-5 years) on all SKOPE refrigeration.
What do you have available to rent?
Glass display fridges and freezers (single and double doors) and open deck display merchandisers.
What is the minimum term?
- One week for special events
- One month for short term rental
What if I'm renting monthly and I return it part way through the following month?
If the minimum term has been met we will only charge you up until the time you return the refrigeration.
What will I end up paying?
We will invoice you after delivery for the rental and one-way freight amount. Rental is invoiced monthly. Upon return, we will invoice you for the return freight and one-off clean, tag, and test fee along with any other rental owing.
What costs are expected upfront?
There is nothing to pay upfront.
How do I arrange the return?
Simply email skopefunding@skope.com confirming what date you want pick up and that your pick up details remain the same as your delivery form on file.

Who do I contact if there is a problem with my equipment?
Please contact our dedicated Warranty team on 1800 121 535 (Australia) or 0800 947 5673 (New Zealand). If you receive damaged equipment please take photos of the damage and contact your stockist immediately.
Can I make extra payments?
Yes for lump sums. We can then reduce the payments owing on the term or you can simply payout earlier. There is no additional cost to do this.
Are there any early payout fees?
There is a one-off break fee of $100 plus GST required for administration.
Can I payout my equipment earlier?
Yes, we work out what remaining payments are owed less any future extended warranty or planned maintenance costs.
Are there any extra fees at the end of my agreement?
No, there are no extra fees to be paid at the end of your agreement. You will own the equipment once we have received your final payment and the agreement term has ended.

Do you accept credit cards or AMEX?
We do not accept AMEX. We accept Visa and Mastercard and they incur a 1.5% surcharge.
How often do I make repayments?
Repayments are monthly and made by direct debit.
What other fees do I need to pay?
A $150 loan establishment fee is included and apportioned across the term of the loan.
How much is the deposit and when do I need to pay it?
The deposit is the equivalent of the GST amount of the equipment value and term. This is 100% tax deductible. The deposit is due on the same day as signing the agreement.
What will my interest rate be?
We provide a detailed quote so you can understand your cost of ownership. The Own Me plan includes extended warranty and onsite planned maintenance in the pricing.

How long is my warranty?
Your warranty is extended for the duration of your term. In addition, you also receive an annual scheduled service on each piece of equipment for the duration of your agreement.
If you sign up for a 1 year term the standard SKOPE warranty protection will apply.
How is delivery organised?
Delivery will be organised by your preferred SKOPE stockist.
How long is the agreement?
We offer agreements between 1-5 years.
When does the agreement start?
The agreement commences on the day of signing the agreement and monthly repayments begin once one month after the equipment has been delivered.
